1. Who we are
Utsav is a software product operated by the team behind GrowBusiness, based in Pune, Maharashtra. We help mandals digitize donation collection, receipts, expenses, and reports. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and your choices around it.
2. What we collect
Mandal information — name, city, address, contact details, logo, and identifiers (PAN, registration number) you choose to provide for receipts.
Donor information— names, mobile numbers, emails, and addresses that your volunteers enter into Utsav. You are responsible for collecting this with the donor's consent.
Financial entries — donations, expenses, payment methods, and references that you record.
Account & usage data — login email, IP address, device/browser info, and basic activity logs needed to run and secure the service.
3. How we use it
We use the data solely to provide the service: generate receipts, calculate balances, produce reports, share the public mandal page, send transactional emails, and support you over WhatsApp / email. We do not sell your data or use donor information for marketing.
4. Who can see it
Your mandal's data is private to your mandal. Only members you invite (admins, volunteers) can see it.
Utsav's support team may access data when troubleshooting a ticket you raise.
Aggregated business metrics (e.g., total mandals on the platform) are visible to Utsav operators. Your individual mandal's financial data is not.
We use trusted infrastructure providers — Supabase (database, auth) and Vercel (hosting) — both based in compliant jurisdictions. They process data on our instructions.
5. Public information
Each mandal has a public live page (utsav.cabora.in/m/your-slug) that shows the live collection total, festival, and donor names that are notmarked anonymous. Donors can be recorded as “Anonymous” — they then appear that way on the public page. Mandal logos and brand colors are shown on receipts shared with donors.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest in our database. Access requires authenticated sessions. We follow standard practices including role-based access, row-level security on the database, and regular dependency updates. No system is perfectly secure — please tell us promptly if you suspect any issue.
7. Data retention
We retain your mandal's data for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your mandal account, we remove all associated data within 30 days, except entries we are legally required to keep (e.g., tax invoices).
8. Your rights
You can: request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, delete it, or restrict how we process it. Mandals can export donations, expenses, donors, and ledgers as CSV from the dashboard at any time. For account-level requests, email hello@cabora.in.
9. DPDPA & cross-border
Utsav operates primarily in India and aims to comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Some processing happens outside India through our infrastructure providers; we have contractual safeguards with them.
10. Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in, remember your selected festival and language, and protect against abuse. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. If we make a material change, we will surface a notice inside the app and update the “Last updated” date above.
